Services

CTS designs service package to suit each customer’s needs. Service packages range from single container transports to container trains to comprehensive logistics solutions for large-scale projects, which in addition to rail freights may include organization of various forwarding services, terminal handling, on-carriage and sea freight.

Rail transportation

ContainerTrans Scandinavia (CTS) provides rail transportation services for containerized goods between Finland, Russia, CIS and Asia using rolling stock of Russia's national rail container operator JSC TransContainer. Qualified CTS personnel are available to assist customers with various transport inquiries and offer necessary consultations and advice.

Project transports

CTS has access to specialized rolling stock suitable for transportation of project cargoes, such as agricultural machinery, equipment, log houses, paper & pulp. Coming soon! Reefer containers for food, medicine etc up to -20c

Oy ContainerTrans Scandinavia Ltd (CTS) is a joint venture of VR Group and JSC TransContainer established in 2007 specializing in transportation of containerized goods by rail.

Today the company is the leading provider of rail transportation services for containerized goods in Finland. Successful operations rely on professionalism, network relations and efficient process management. CTS continuously works with its parent companies and partners to develop service offering and broaden geography.

TransContainer is the the largest rail container operator in Russia. With access to its rolling stock, container park, 47 terminals throughout Russia and wide network covering Russia, Europe, CIS, and Asia ContainerTrans Scandinavia has the right tools for accommodating and stimulating growth of rail transportation between Finland and Russia and help its clients meet new market challenges.

Wagons

ContainerTrans Scandinavia has access to some 25 000 wagons owned and operated by JSC TransContainer. Wagon park consists of 40, 60 and 80ft fitting platforms with payload 45 – 74 tons for transportation of containers and a number of wagons for special cargoes.

Containers

Both, shipper’s own containers and containers provided by CTS can be used for transportation. TransContainer park consists of about 60 000 units of 20- and 40-ft containers (see container specs).
